How we help
What we can do to help you.
At Human & Co, we offer a range of practical and therapeutic services designed to support people experiencing domestic and family violence — wherever you are in your journey. We provide safe and supported accommodation, outreach support in the community, dedicated children's support programs, and professional counselling. We will discuss your support needs and work with you to find the help you need.
Our Process: What to expect when you reach out
Taking steps to reach out for support takes courage - and we want you to feel confident about what can happen from here. When you contact us, you will be met with understanding, respect, and care. Here's what you can expect when you reach out to us.
Step 1
Reach out in a way that feels safe
You can contact us by call, text or email — whatever feels safest for you. Once we receive your request for support, we will be in touch within 1–2 business days.
Step 2
Speak with a trained practitioner
You will speak with a trained Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) practitioner who will take the time to understand your situation and work out the right kind of support with you. Together, you will talk about safety — including the safest way for us to contact you and any accessibility needs you may have. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
Step 1
Explore support & next steps, at your own pace
Once we've confirmed we are the right fit for you, our skilled staff will work with you to assess you and your family’s safety using up to date information. We'll give you the information you need to make decisions about your life - on your terms, in your own time. If we're not the right service for you, we won't just leave you there - we'll help connect you with a service that is.
You remain in control, there is no pressure here.
Our role is to support you and walk alongside you — choice and control always remain with you. Your privacy matters. Everything you share with us is treated with the strictest confidence. Contacting our service does not automatically involve police, courts, or any other agency.
